In a massive humanitarian mission, the UAE has launched an initiative to shield one million Palestinians from harsh weather conditions due to cold temperatures in the region. This initiative, spearheaded under the recently concluded operation code-named “Chivalrous Knight 3,” aims to provide essential items that will protect the Palestinians from the winter cold.
The first air transport mission carried a total of 5,000 bundles of winter aid supplied by the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. In the first consignment, 50,000 thermal jackets, among other essential items to protect people from winter conditions, were included.
Organizers designed the blanket distribution to meet the immediate safety requirements of families lacking adequate shelter. Abdulaziz Al Zaidi, who directs community services at the Zayed Foundation, highlighted that coordinating closely with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 ensures rapid field deployment. He noted that these joint relief efforts honor the enduring legacy of compassion established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the nation’s Founding Father, while unifying domestic charitable entities under a single high-impact mission.
According to Hammoud Al Afari, Director of UAE Relief Operations, the recurring initiative adapts its scope every year to match the evolving needs on the ground. Expanding the current campaign to reach one million recipients highlights the country’s expanded logistical commitment toward mitigating suffering in the enclave. Al Afari emphasized that blending Foundation resources with military logistics capabilities maximizes operational efficacy during critical weather transitions.
Executing this relief directive follows explicit instructions from UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to extend unwavering support to Palestinian citizens. Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 continues to serve as the chief framework for the country’s sustained aid delivery, combining airlifts, maritime routes, and land convoys to ensure vital life-saving goods continuously reach those in desperate need.
